LJ's icon policy is torture. InsaneJournal gives you 300 on a normal account.

My perseph2hades account came up for paid renewal just yesterday, and I had to grit my teeth and pay up because of all the customizations done to the journal, to keep everything the way it is. I've been poking around to look for an unpaid layout that could hold the same things.. And then you pay to not see ads on LJ...

*sigh* My eyes are peeled for the moment it might look like fandom has found an alternative.
